Spiral nozzles

The spiral nozzle is a full cone nozzle without vorticator in which the liquid is diverted from the spiral profile widening to create the spray angle.

The absence of the vorticator eliminates most of the possibilities of shutter and the design allows the use of pipes of a smaller diameter than a conventional full cone nozzle.
These features make it the preferred nozzle in applications such as smoke cleaning towers or fire protection systems.

A jet created by impact absorbs much less energy than required for the jet formed by a turbulence nozzle, and therefore exits with a higher speed forming drops of smaller diameter with equal feed pressure.
