Single-use plastic represent more or less the 85% of the pollution of beaches and oceans, and it also reaches people and animals in form of micro-plastic in food, water, air. In May 2015 the European Committee banned plastic bags, and it has now started a new program to ban all other single-use plastic products, such as drink cups, straws, plates [link: https://ec.europa.eu/commission/news/single-use-plastics-2018-may-28_en].
In order to give its small contribution to this big problem, PNR Italia has recently adopted a policy directed to a total single-use plastic ban: the water-dispenser glasses have been substituted with personal telescopic glasses, while both the coffee-machine glasses and the food containers of the cafeteria will be substituted with eco-glasses and eco-plates in biological paper.
This environmental-driven policy follows other important initiatives already adopted, such as waste recycling, working scraps reuse, treatment and disposal of the liquids used during the production of our products.
The attention to the environment is, and it always will be, one of the leading aspects of PNR Italia corporate strategy: we don’t only have products that help to prevent pollution (nozzles for dust suppression [https://www.pnr.eu/metals-industry/dust-suppression/], nozzles for flue gas treatment [https://www.pnr.eu/chemical-industry/flue-gas-treatment/], nozzles for foam suppression [https://www.pnr.eu/chemical-industry/foam-suppression/]), but the company itself tries to limit pollution as much as possible, to make its own small contribution to the preservation of our beautiful planet.
